Wesley Chapel or Old Market Street Cemetery Belvidere, Warren County, NJ from
The Genealogical Magazine of New Jersey Volume 54, pp. 135-136 and from the collection of Beulah Gangaware Special thanks to Albert Hosbach
for sending me Ms. Gangaware's transcription of this cemetery for use on
my web site.
This burying ground is located on Delaware and Market Streets, Belvidere,
at the site of the original Wesley Chapel. The following list of
inscriptions [the ones from the Genealogical Magazine of New Jersey] was
copied by Virginia Alleman Brown in Feburary, 1978, and compared with the
Roseberry compilation of "Warren County Cemetery Inscriptions". Several
stones found in 1934, but missing in 1978, have been included in brackets. Note: I don't know the
date that Ms. Gangaware's transcription was done. However, she has
more stones than the 1978 list, so I'm guessing that hers was done some
time between 1934 and 1978.
The items italicized in red are from Beulah
Gangaware's transcription. If there is no note or change, then the
name did not show up on the transcription from her collection.
