on back indicates it was located on North Street, and later became a
silk mill, and then the [Koh-I-Nor] pencil factory.
The Portrait and Biographical
Record of Warren and Hunterdon Counties, New Jersey, 1898 (pages 536
and 537), states that John W. Dehart "is the president of the
Bloomsbury Canning Company, which, in 1897, canned two hundred thousand
cans of peaches and sixty thousand cans of tomatoes. This is one
of the young industries of the place and is rapidly gaining prominence."
