Notation on the back of this card reads, "End of
lane east of School (Sheets)." When asked about the "Sheets"
notation, Craig Hoffman wrote, "There was a family in town with the
last name of "Sheets". In fact, Sheets & Gardner ran a store
on lower Church Street, 2 doors from the iron bridge. They sold
gasoline (you can see the pump in one of the earlier photos), hunting
licenses, ammo, etc."
